Meet the Leaders

The Leadership Team

The Elders are responsible for the leadership and spiritual well being of the church. Currently they are: Kim Hubbard, Steve Larke, Paul McKie, Alastair Miatt, Chris Wells, Hugh Bradby and Martin Lee.

Kim Hubbard has been on the church staff team since 1992, his primary role being teaching, pastoral care and the support of other leaders and staff. Prior to this he worked for fourteen years as a materials engineer in the automotive industry. Kim is married to Aileen and has three grown-up children.

Alastair Miatt leads a homegroup, is a member of the music and data projection teams, and leads evening services. He helps out at Alpha and hangs out with the 20s/30s. Alastair is single, works as an engineer at Jaguar/Land Rover, is a keen cyclist and a local homeless-project volunteer.

Paul McKie Paul McKie is involved in preaching and teaching, is part of the Mission Support Team and also a church trustee. He is married to Anthea and has four young children. For the last few years Paul has been a house husband; prior to that he worked in the gas industry for 13 years.

Chris Wells is involved in childrens work, music, service leading, is part of the mission support team and is also a trustee. He is married to Bridget and has two young children. Chris works in the food industry in international business development and spends much of his time overseas.

Steve Larke is involved in music, service leading and occasional preaching and teaching. He is a trustee and oversees the church finances. He is married to Sally and has a son and two daughters. Steve works for an IT and Management Consultancy and spends too much time travelling!

Hugh Bradby (with his wife Ruth) leads the Castle Housegroup at Myton. He worked for 21 years as a Headteacher, first at an international school in India and then in Hoylake. He currently serves as General Secretary of TISCA (The Independent Schools Christian Alliance). He is a Trustee of Interserve and ACT (The Association of Christian Teachers).

Martin Lee is passionate about people experiencing God’s love, fairness and justice. He works for Global Connections, a UK network bringing together agencies involved in mission. He is married to Georgina, with three children and is a proud grandfather. He is a trustee of three charities, serves on the EA Council and part owns several businesses, including a local supply of fair-trade food.
